Minnesota Herpetological Society

  • This group meets the first Friday of every month at 7:00pm in room 335 of Borlaug Hall on the University of Minnesota, St. Paul campus. Anyone with an interest in reptiles and amphibians is welcome to attend. Most months this group will have a guest speaker presenting on a reptile or amphibian related topic. The purpose of the meetings is to educate the public about the ecological roles of reptiles and amphibians and to promote their conservation.

  • This website is an excellent source of information including pictures of all the reptiles and amphibians native to Minnesota.

CNAH - Center For North American Herpetology

  • This website may be the premiere academic reference for information on all of the reptiles and amphibians native to the United States and Canada. It maintains a variety of current herp related information including taxonomic research, upcoming events, open positions and internships, and an extensive directory of herpetologists.

The Lizard Lounge

  • This website is devoted to pet care for lizards.  There are care sheets, pictures, and other links about lizards.

  • Kentucky Reptile Zoo near Natural Bridge State Park has a venomous snake collection such as spitting cobras, mambas, rattlesnakes, vipers and adders.

Cold Blooded Encounters

  • Cold Blooded Encounters in Charlotte, NC was established in 2010 with a mission to educate through entertainment and displays over 150 different species of reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.
