Green Treefrog

Hyla squirella

Range: Delaware southward through Florida and west to Tennessee, Louisiana, Missouri, and Illinois.

Description: These lime to olive green frogs have a thin white line down each side and may have small yellowish spots on their backs.  They reach a size of 1 to 2 ½ inches.

Habitat: They are not picky about their habitat as long as there is adequate vegetative cover and standing water.

Diet:
Wild: Invertebrates
Zoo: Crickets

Reproduction: Green Tree Frogs may breed seven months out of the year in large choruses.
